Golden police said 42-year-old Shaun P. Harper is the apparent University of Colorado fan who robbed the Bank of the West on Saturday morning.
When officers approached Harper at a nearby bus stop about 40 minutes later and asked him to put his hands in the air, money allegedly taken from the bank fell from his pockets, police said.
Officers also found the black-and- silver pistol he allegedly pointed at a bank teller during the robbery just before 9:30 a.m. He was not wearing the CU hoodie reportedly worn by the robber.
