MINNEAPOLIS — Frigid air whipped through a desolate Metrodome on Monday as crews began inspecting the football stadium’s nearly 30-year-old Teflon roof after it collapsed under the weight of heavy snow that pounded the Twin Cities.
The collapse, the fourth since the stadium opened, has rekindled debate over whether the state should build a new venue using public funds.
“It’s an aging facility. . . . This actually ramps up that part of the discussion,” said state Sen. Julie Rosen. The Associated Press
