Arapahoe County Commissioners on Tuesday passed a $328.4 million operating budget for 2011.
The budget includes $9.4 million for capital projects. About $800,000 will be set aside for the Interstate 25 and Arapahoe Road interchange project. Another $600,000 will go toward improvements to Quincy Avenue, from Kiowa to Strasburg.
Also being funding next year is a training track and parking lot for the sheriff’s office at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds and Regional Park. That project comes at a price tag of $900,000.
The 2011 budget will include 1,975 employees, down about two positions.
