Authorities confirmed Tuesday morning that the body found under the Maroon Creek Bridge in Aspen is that of George Aldrich.
Aldrich, 28, of Snowmass Village, hadn’t been seen since Nov. 27.
Pitkin County’s deputy coroner said in a release this evening that the cause of death was “multiple trauma blunt force injury,” from falling off the Maroon Creek Bridge. The death has been ruled accidental.
Toxicology tests are pending.
Aldrich’s body was discovered by off-duty personnel from Mountain Rescue-Aspen, according to Bill Linn of the Aspen Police Department.
