A 59-year-old man has been arrested for investigation of first-degree murder in connection with a mid-morning shooting in the 4800 block of North Enid Way.

Police arrested William Bentley, who apparently lived at the Enid address with the victim, according to Lt. Matt Murray, spokesman for the Denver police department.

Murray said police had responded to a report of a burglary in progress at the Montbello home about 10:30 this morning when they found a man with at least one gunshot wound.

The man later died at Denver Health Medical Center. His identity will be released pending formal identification and notification of next of kin.
