The man who started the Reservoir Road Fire was given three years probation on Tuesday after he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor arson last week. He will not serve any time in jail.

Joel Ledermann was also sentenced to 150 hours of community service and $500 a month in restitution until a civil case works out that issue.

Investigators say he was burning grass, leaves and small branches at his home when the fire got out of control near Loveland. It burned two homes and a handful of outbuildings before firefighters contained it on Sept. 16.
