An effort to allow overnight parking in downtown Denver moved a step closer after Denver’s City Council on Monday approved a bill on its first reading to change the meter time limits.
Currently, vehicles are banned from parking on downtown streets from 2 to 6 a.m. The new ordinance would change that beginning early next year, allowing people to plug the meters overnight.
The council will consider the proposal for a final vote next Monday.
