Getting your player ready...

Sure, you could set your cellphone to sound when it’s time to take your meds. But MedCenter’s Talking Alarm Clock and Medication Reminder is a more dedicated nag, and its big LCD date-and-time display and large control buttons are more user friendly for those with limited vision or dexterity. Set one to four daily alarms — morning, afternoon, evening and night. At the appointed time, a female voice will announce which daily dose to take (“Good evening, please take your evening pills for the 15th”), and keep repeating the command until you press the “alarm acknowledged” button — at which point the voice will state the current time and the time of the next dose for which an alarm has been set. Runs on two included AA batteries.

Talking Alarm Clock and Medication Reminder is $34.95 at ; 866-600-3244.
