LITTLETON, Colo.—Police say a visually impaired man was killed and two visually impaired women were injured when they were struck by an SUV while waiting for a bus in the Denver suburb of Littleton.

Authorities say 47-year-old David Allen Nanney was killed Friday morning when the SUV went out of control and struck the group.

Littleton Police Lt. Sean Dugan says the two women, ages 18 and 26, suffered injuries that were serious but not considered life-threatening. Their names haven’t been released.

Dugan didn’t know the nature of any of the victims’ visual impairments.

The SUV driver was a 21-year-old woman. Her name hasn’t been released.

Dugan says ice on the street may have been a factor. He says investigators don’t suspect drugs and alcohol were involved.
