BOULDER, Colo.—Newly hired Colorado football coach Jon Embree has brought in a bevy of assistant coaches with strong ties to the Buffaloes.
Embree replaced Dan Hawkins, who was fired last month after going 19-39 in four-plus seasons.
Greg Brown returns for a third stint on staff and will run the defense, while former CU linebacker Kanavis McGhee takes over as defensive line coach.
Steve Marshall rejoins the team as offensive line coach.
Embree also hired Mike Tuiasosopo to assist McGhee and J.D. Brookhart as tight ends coach and special teams coordinator.
Former CU tailback Eric Bieniemy was already on board to run the offense and longtime assistant Brian Cabral, who filled in after Hawkins was fired, will be back as linebackers coach.
