DENVER—Homeless advocates, government and religious leaders will gather to remember the more than 140 homeless people who lived on the streets in the Denver area and died this year.

Several hundred people are expected to gather on the steps of the Denver City and County Building at 5:30 Tuesday evening for the 25th annual vigil by the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless. Speakers will include coalition President John Parvensky, Deputy Mayor Bill Vidal and state Sen. Lucia Guzman.

Advocates say the homeless who died this year ranged in age from 2 months to 81 years old. They say the memorial illustrates the need for integrated medical and mental health care services for those without safe, stable housing.
