Denver police today announced a $2,000 reward to find the killer of Jordan Nelson, the 21-year-old who was gunned down in North Park Hill last week.
Witnesses told police multiple shots were fired at Nelson as he sat in his car outside a home at 2915 Pontiac St. at about 10 p.m. on Dec. 23.
Anyone with information can call Denver police at 720-913-2000 or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
Nelson has been arrested several times by Denver police, including drug charges and, on Nov. 19, was arrested and charged with a previous juvenile felon in possession of a weapon. He was free on $10,000 bond at the time of his death, records show. He was also charged with weapons possession in 2009, but the charge was later dropped.
Nelson’s funeral is Thursday at 10 a.m. at Now Faith Christian Center.
