GUNNISON, Colo.—Colorado wildlife officials say a large six-point bull elk was shot illegally in Saguache (suh-WAHCH’) County last week.
They are looking for suspects.
Division of Wildlife officials say the elk was shot sometime between Dec. 20 and Dec. 23, when a Colorado Department of Transportation work crew spotted it on Colorado Highway 114.
The elk was still alive but had to be put down.
