All lanes of I-70 at Peoria were re-opened before 11 a.m. after a crash snarled morning traffic.
A car westbound on Interstate 70 at Peoria Street rolled about 9:20 a.m. and ended up in the eastbound lanes of the interstate, according to Phil Champagne, spokesman for the Denver Fire Department.
Firefighters had to cut the occupants out of the car, said Champagne.
As of 10:40 a.m., all lanes of the highway had reopened, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
Champagne said that a second accident has occurred on westbound I-70, apparently caused by the inattention or curiosity of other motorists after the first accident.
