Beyond the man cave

The DIY Network has teamed up with Esquire magazine to create a one-hour television special devoted to perfect bachelor pads. Hosted by Amy Matthews and airing Thursday night, “Esquire’s 2010 Ultimate Bachelor Pad” chronicles the renovation of a 9,000-square-foot home into the ultimate gentleman’s retreat complete with a personal recording studio, a virtual reality flying simulator, and a waterwall fireplace. To help hype the show, Esquire and the DIY Network also are hosting the Ultimate Bachelor’s Getaway Sweepstakes, which is a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Villa Del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto in Mexico.
