An employee was shot near the entrance of a Lakewood restaurant Tuesday night, and police are talking to numerous witnesses to determine whether the shooting was random or deliberate.
“Right now, we’re still trying to determine what led to this,” said Lakewood police spokeswoman Andrea Joo.
The victim’s name was not released, but he was rushed to St. Anthony Central Hospital in serious condition.
The shooting happened at El Torito Bar & Grill at West 10th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard about 7:40 p.m.
Police are looking for a dark-colored sport utility vehicle, but no other information about the assailant was released.
