DENVER—A Denver developer and transportation consultant has been picked to oversee Colorado’s roads.
Gov.-elect John Hickenlooper announced Friday that Don Hunt, president of the development company Antero, will join his cabinet as head of the state Department of Transportation.
Hunt oversaw a $550 million infrastructure program for Denver and has consulted on transportation projects from Washington, D.C., to Salt Lake City.
Hunt replaces Russell George. The department has more than 3,000 employees and an annual budget of about $1 billion.
