The Rev. Ted Haggard, founder and leader of Colorado Springs’ New Life megachurch until he was disgraced in 2006 by revelations of trysts with a male prostitute, will soon star in a one-hour TV special.
“Ted Haggard: Scandalous” is set to air Jan. 16 on TLC and could, if successful, lead to a reality-TV series, according to the online magazine Inside TV.
The special, produced by RelativityReal, shows Haggard and his wife, Gayle, launching St. James Church in Colorado Springs, announced during a news conference at their home June 2.
