An armed, hooded robber has hit the same Wheat Ridge drug store twice, making off with powerful pain killers.

The robber, dubbed the “Hooded Pain Med Bandit” by police, hit the Walgreens at 4401 Wadsworth Blvd. twice within a month, according to a Wheat Ridge Police Department media release.

The bandit, armed with a handgun, demanded all the Oxycontin and Vicodin from the store’s pharmacy while revealing a gun in his waistband and making threats.

He robbed the business on Dec. 13 at about 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday at about 8:20 a.m., police said.

The hooded robber fled the store westbound on foot and was in and out in about two minutes, police said.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man in his early 20s, about 5-feet 8-inches tall and 170-pounds, with dark hair. He has a “sparsely grown mustache,” police said, and was wearing a dark, hooded coat and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on the robberies or a possible suspect is asked to call police at 303 235-2947.
