The Aurora Police Department today announced the resignation of a sergeant who was arrested last month on child pornography charges.
Morgan Sellman, 39, has been on unpaid leave since Dec. 15 in connection with a Colorado Springs police investigation.
“The Aurora Police Department will be offering no further comment on Mr. Sellman,” the department said in a media release.
Detectives claim to have found hundreds of videos of child pornography depicting victims as young as 2 years old on Sellman’s personal laptop computer, according to the arrest warrant.
His laptop case, obtained by detectives at his office, also reportedly contained sex toys. Sellman is free on a $10,000 bond.
Colorado Springs detectives allegedly linked child pornography on a file-sharing website to an Internet account registered to Sellman.
Sellman had coordinated the Aurora Police Department’s D.A.R.E. anti-drug program.
