COLORADO SPRINGS — A burglary victim is making a plea to those who broke into his home Sunday: Please return his wife’s cremated remains.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said the ashes were in a 1-by-1-foot red mahogany box. Anyone who has it can leave it at any fire station or public building.
Witnesses near the home saw two white men in their 20s in a silver sport utility vehicle with a stolen Colorado license plate, 665UXF.
