Bocumast SXSW Brunch Fundraiser

OK, so we’re starting this week with a little shameless self-promotion…

When was the last time you brunched somewhere and came away unhappy? The libations run like the Platte and adding music can only heighten the experience. , in conjunction with Reverb,   and , will host a SXSW brunch fundraiser with , , and . Reverb spoke with David Kurtz from Bocumast about this Sunday’s fundraiser and what’s in store for SXSW. Information for the brunch is below and you can purchase tickets .

Bocumast is looking at its extended run at SXSW by having another smashing day party. Are you guys going to do anything differently and what venue do you have secured (if any)?

“This year we have combined forces with you guys, the UMS and the Vinefield Agency to put on a much bigger event than last year. We have secured Parkside on 6th street in Austin for a two-stage event during the daylight hours on Saturday March 19.”

What local acts are slated to play the day party and can we expect any from outside of Colorado to play?

“The line-up is not ready to be announced as it is still being finalized, but I can say there will certainly be some surprises.”

Have you guys secured your sponsors? What else can fans do to help the “cause?”

“We are currently seeking some kick-ass sponsors for the event. We have several packages available with lots of great stuff for any sponsor. Visit or email us at partners@reverbparty.com for more information. Fans can purchase music from Bocumast.com. Not only is it the cheapest way to get new music, it goes directly to the artists. The best thing to do, however, is come to the fundraising events. Not only will you discover some new talent, but you may just get some free shit. We’ll be handing out free CDs, buttons, t-shirts, stickers, car stereos….okay, maybe not car stereos. ”

A brunch fundraiser is a bit out of the ordinary. What other fundraising shows do you guys have in the works?

“There will be a few other events  leading up to SXSW this year including a Valentine’s Day party at the Meadowlark and a Stand by Your Band event at the Hi Dive.”

Denver Big Air acts announced

The two-day international ski/snowboard tournament has nailed down entertainment for the event (Jan. 25-26) going on in downtown Denver. What would some death-defying stunts be without some tunes? has tapped SoCal kids,  and local pop superstars (Ryan Tedder is the recent recipient of) to headline the event.

Yes, tou did fear Gauntlet Hair at the beginning of that Tim Tebow ESPN special

Much like everybody else, we were shocked and delighted to hear some familiar music while watching “Tim Tebow: Everything Between” on ESPN. The hour-long special showcased Lafayette’s own and ܳ‘s single “I Was Thinking.” We are dying to listen to that full length (crosses fingers) coming our way via sometime soon! (Photo via MySpace)
