Winter wheat wasn’t the only crop to have a good year in Colorado in 2010.

The Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service said this week it was also a good growing season for corn, sorghum, beans and proso millet.

The agency said the 2010 Colorado harvest of corn for grain was estimated at 182.71 million bushels, up 21 percent from 2009. Sorghum for grain production was up 11 percent from 2009, proso millet production was up about 34 percent, and dry edible bean production was up 48 percent.
