The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a woman tonight in Adams County.
A State Patrol spokesman said that the woman was walking on Picadilly Road about one-half mile south of East 152nd Avenue when an unidentified vehicle struck her just after 6 p.m.
It is unknown what factors contributed to the crash, and it is not known why the woman was in the area, the State Patrol said.
The victim has not been identified. Picadilly Road is closed from East 152nd Avenue to East 145th Avenue for investigation.
The State Patrol is asking anyone who can identify the vehicle traveling in that area around 6 p.m. to call the Colorado State Patrol Dispatch Center at 303-239-4501.
