The Colorado State Patrol is looking for more witnesses to a hit-and-run accident that killed a woman Thursday night in Adams County.
Leyla Sahs, 33, of Denver was standing in the southbound lanes of Picadilly Road about a half-mile south of East 152nd Avenue when she was struck after 6 p.m.
A white Toyota Camry driven by John Mayner, 64, of Northglenn stopped after striking the woman. Mayner has been cooperating with troopers during the investigation. But another unidentified vehicle that fled the scene is believed to have witnessed or been involved in the incident.
According to the State Patrol, investigators are looking for anyone who saw a white or light-gray sedan on Picadilly Road before the crash. It is unknown what Sahs was doing in the road at the time. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Colorado State Patrol at 303-289-4760. Yesenia Robles, The Denver Post
