Q: As an iPhone user, if I wanted to switch to Verizon, do you know if I have to buy a new Verizon iPhone or will the current AT&T iPhone work? (@bulldawgmama)
A: You’ll have to buy a new iPhone specifically designed for Verizon’s network, which uses different mobile technology. Verizon’s iPhone, which will be available Feb. 10, would work with Sprint’s network, if or when the carrier reaches a deal with Apple. AT&T and T-Mobile use the same technology, so an “unlocked” AT&T iPhone would work with T- Mobile’s service, though with some drawbacks.
