Katy Perry’s “California Dreams” world tour will stop by the 1stBank Center on July 26 as part of its 41-city North American jaunt, which kicks off June 7 in Atlanta. No one is expecting subtlety or artfulness from Perry, who has made her name on shiny, catchy pop hooks and cleavage-bearing outfits straight out of a cartoonish neon brothel aimed at tweens. Still, we’re fascinated to see how her stage show plays with diverse, spectacle-hungry audiences around the country. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. Jan 29. ($39-$49, )
Robert Plant has been a recent fixture on the folk scene thanks to his Grammy-winning 2007 album, “Raising Cain,” with bluegrass queen Alison Krauss. The Led Zeppelin singer’s latest stylistic reinvention is Band of Joy, which features heavy hitters Patty Griffin, Buddy Miller and others on an album that covers artists as diverse as Richard & Linda Thompson, Los Lobos and slow-core indie trio Low. The band plays the Fillmore Auditorium on April 27 in support of its eponymous debut. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($69, )
Trey Anastasio knows his fans always want more — even after his insanely popular jam band Phish played a pair of dates in Telluride last August and three shows at the 1stBank Center in October. That’s why Anastasio and his band are coming to the relatively intimate Ogden Theatre March 1-2, with tickets on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday ($39.50, Ticketmaster). Want more Phish? Bassist Mike Gordon will hit the Ogden on March 14. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. today. ($20, Ticketmaster)
David Crosby and Graham Nash are easily the biggest headliners Swallow Hill Music Association has landed for its annual Rootsfest fundraiser, which has welcomed Taj Mahal, Neko Case, Judy Collins, Nanci Griffith and Bruce Cockburn in the past. Tickets for this year’s event, which takes place April 9 at the Paramount Theatre with openers Mollie O’Brien & Rich Moore and Anaïs Mitchell, are on sale at 10 a.m. today. ($35-$100, )
Buddy Guy is a testament to the power of the blues. At 74, the legendary Chicago guitarist and singer is still putting on improbably energetic shows that shame performers half his age. Tickets for his April 13 concert at the Paramount Theatre with Moreland & Arbuckle — to promote the aptly named new album “Living Proof” — are on sale at 10 a.m. today. ($39.50-$69.50, )
James Blunt traded the moody songwriting of 2007’s “All the Lost Souls” for the sunnier disposition of last year’s “Some Kind of Trouble,” a naked grab for the soft-rock/adult contemporary radio listeners that made his first couple of discs such runaway successes. Tickets for Blunt’s April 30 show at the Fillmore Auditorium with Christina Perri are on sale at 10 a.m. today. ($34.50-$40, )
