Newmont Mining Corp. on Thursday released preliminary results showing its gold and copper production in 2010 rose from the previous year.
The 5.4 million ounces of gold produced last year was slightly higher than in 2009, the company said. The 327 million pounds of copper produced was about 45 percent higher than in 2009.
