A 51-year-old man who was jogging with his dog was hit by a van and pinned beneath its wheels in Arvada this morning, but he is expected to survive.
The accident happened at about 8:45 a.m. at West 59th Avenue and Olde Wadsworth Boulevard.
The man’s name was not released. The 46-year-old driver, who also was not identified by Arvada police, was issued a summons for obstructed view and careless driving resulting in injury.
The dog was not injured and was reunited with its family.
