A man was killed on the train tracks in Castle Rock this evening, and police are investigating the reason he was in the train’s path.
His name and age have not been released.
The man was on the tracks on Perry Street between First and Second streets at about 6:20 p.m., said police spokeswoman Kim Mutchler.
He was hit by a northbound Burlington Northern Sante Fe train, she said.
The tracks separate downtown Castle Rock from residential neighborhoods to the east.
