COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY: Associate professor Bruce Draper will spend the next two years teaching computers to take pictures and describe the pictures in words, which could eventually help the U.S. military with remote surveillance. Draper and his team got a $625,000 grant from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency for the project.
