ENGLEWOOD — The city has named Dorothy Hargrove as the new library director, replacing Hank Long, who retired in December.
Hargrove first day at the helm of the Englewood Public Library was today.
Hargrove has 32 years of experience with libraries, including 16 in management. Most recently she managed the Highlands Ranch and Roxborough branches for the Douglas County library system.
Hargrove earned a master’s degree in Library Science from the University of Denver and an MBA from the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business.
“I am delighted she has chosen to join us,” City Manager Gary Sears said in a written statement. “I believe she will make a great addition to our team here at the city of Englewood.”
