Ain’t no funk like Louisiana funk! Cyril Neville’s ode to the real NOLA sounded eerily similar to one of the Neville Brothers’ big hits, “Fire on the Bayou” and summed up the entire evening.
Styles and genres from all over the swampy south filled the air, from cajun to zydeco, funk to rock, and all those sandwiched between. brought together an impressive cast of New Orleans’ finest, including Cyril, Tab Benoit and Anders Osborne, and kept the small but energetic crowd groovin’ to the Cajun beat.
