Severe weather forced U.S. Highway 285 at Kenosha Pass and U.S. Highway 6 at Loveland Pass to close today today as crews continue to battle heavy snow and strong winds.
Crews are struggling to keep the passes open as severe weather creates white-out driving conditions.
An accident involving a semi-truck at the top of the pass closed the road from 5:30 to 8:30 a.m., Colorado Department of Transportation spokesman Bob Wilson said.
High winds are creating slick roads and poor visibility, Wilson said.
