Three women who have overcome significant health and personal challenges — state Rep. Cindy Acree, child advocate Ryta Sondergard and graduate student Rebecca Bell — will be honored as Triumphant Women when Excelsior Youth Center stages its annual Passport Party. Plans for the March 19 celebration were unveiled at a cocktail reception hosted by Thurston Kitchens at the Kitchens at the Denver Showroom. Call 303-696-1550 for details. Cherry Hills Country Club, meanwhile, was where supporters of Bessie’s Hope gathered to learn more about the 2011 edition of Intergenerational Idols, an April 9 talent showcase chaired by Pat Robinson and Bill Bishop.
