The University of Colorado at Boulder is one of 17 organizations nationwide selected by NASA to provide 20 tiny satellites as auxiliary payloads.
Announced Wednesday, the CubeSats — cube-shaped research spacecraft that are about 4 inches long and weigh 2.2 pounds or less — will fly on rockets planned for launch this year and in 2012.
