Moonlight snowshoe hike.
Hikers can embark on a snowshoe trek in Divide under the light of a full moon beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday. The Prospector Ridge Loop is a 2.5-mile hike, and participants are encouraged to bring their dogs, a thermos of hot chocolate and their whole family for this adventure. Manitou Springs gumbo cook-off.
The Mumbo Jumbo Gumbo Cook-Off & Carnivale Parade in Manitou Springs will be March 5. Chefs will compete to make the best batch of gumbo. The public can get a taste after judging is completed at 10:45 a.m. and then join in the fun of the Carnivale Parade in downtown Manitou.
