Getting your player ready...

When Lennar Homes brought out its new Inaugural Collection of well-appointed but affordably priced homes at Adonea last year, models disappeared like chocolate chip cookies. Now Lennar is grand-opening that same series at a Southeast Aurora location that has Cherry Creek Schools, and you can be first to see three furnished models – including one of two ranch plans being introduced.

You’ll get to reach into a jar of Otis Spunkmeyer cookies; and get a shot at a $250 Pottery Barn gift card that’ll be given away this week. You’ll also see six homes in Lennar’s new neighborhood in Sorrel Ranch’s enclave that are on track for move in this spring – all available as a grand opening special at $15,000 off, from $259,900.

They’re all close to Sorrel Ranch’s trails, community pool and clubhouse – a 4-block walk from Cherry Creek’s Buffalo Trail Elementary School. “We’re very happy with it; they’re on top of their game,” says Lennar sales consultant Fathi Hanish, who has two kids in the school.

You’ll also get a chance to see Lennar’s higher level of standards, even at these prices. “There are only around $3,700 worth of options in this model,” said Skip Wilcox (he’ll be on hand today with Rod Dutcher) as he showed me the 1,540-foot ‘Monroe’ ranch. Dutcher added that relocating buyers particularly appreciate Lennar’s system – one model showing nothing but standards, and two with low-cost options. (An upgrade to red oak kitchen floors, solid-surface counters and stainless appliances is $3,500 in that model.)

Lennar anticipated that in a family-sized ‘Lincoln’ plan that’s on-track for move-in next month, on a 9,000-foot lot with a very private backyard close to the community pool. It has four bedrooms up, including two kids’ beds on a Jack-n-Jill bath, a fourth bedroom with its own en-suite bath – plus fireplace, and kitchen in hardwood, cherry, granite and stainless; plus fireplace and air conditioning – priced at $284,900 with the incentive (you must use Lennar’s lender).

You can also see a big-family ‘Roosevelt’ – four bedrooms and a formal dining room, over 2,200 feet. Dutcher will give you two more reasons to look today, rather than wait: Lennar has 35 sites that can take a walk-out or garden-level basement, particularly appealing with ranches; and can tell you about low-down payment financing, including a no-money program from CHFA, and $500 refundable earnest deposit for active military. Lennar’s grand opening is just north of Southlands mall; take Smoky Hill east past 470 to Aurora Parkway; turn left a mile to Alexander, then right and continue eight blocks.
