The University of Colorado ski team continued its strong season by winning the three-day Denver Invitational in Aspen with 879 points.

Runner-up Utah trailed CU by 10 points and the University of Denver placed third in the eight-team field. Wyoming finished last.

In the women’s 21K freestyle Sunday, CU placed second (junior Eliska Hajkova), third (sophomore Joanne Reid) and fourth (senior Alexa Turzian). Utah’s Maria Graefnings won the event.

DU sophomore Andrew Dougherty finished fourth in the men’s 21K freestyle. Utah’s Miles Havlick won the event.

CU, ranked No. 2 nationally behind Vermont, has won three of its four meets this winter.
