FORT CARSON, Colo.—Army leaders will gather at Fort Carson for a symposium on rear detachments, the units that stay behind when others deploy overseas.
The Rear Detachment Symposium will be held Wednesday.
The symposium is designed to help current and future rear detachment commanders support families of military personnel, soldiers in the rear detachment and commanders who have deployed.
Topics also include understanding communications and command and control between rear detachment units, and deployed units and others.
Speakers include Lt. Gen. Howard B. Bromberg, deputy commanding general and chief of staff for U.S. Army Forces Command.
