JONESBORO, Ark.—Arkansas State football coach Hugh Freeze says he has hired Chris Kiffin to coach the Red Wolves’ defensive line.
The addition to the ASU staff of Kiffin—younger brother of Southern California head coach Lane Kiffin and son of USC?assistant Monte Kiffin—was announced by the Jonesboro school on Tuesday.
Chris Kiffin most recently served as an administrative assistant for the USC defense. He also has previous experience in various capacities with Nebraska, Mississippi, Idaho and the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Kiffin said he and Freeze had worked together under Ed Orgeron at Ole Miss and share the same recruiting philosophy.
Kiffin was a defensive lineman at Colorado State in his college days.
