The Colorado Springs-based Space Foundation has chosen two companies to receive 2011 Space Achievement awards during the organization’s annual symposium in April.
Awards will be given to Hawthorne, Calif.-based SpaceX for becoming the first commercial company to re-enter a spacecraft from low- Earth orbit, and Telecoms San Frontieres, based in France, for use of space to aid communications and save lives during natural disasters and emergencies.
