As expected, Colorado State linebackers coach Scott Brown has taken a job as defensive line coach at Arizona State.

Both coaches announced the move today.

Brown replaces Grady Stretz, who resigned to take an NFL coaching position.

In his statement that appeared in , Arizona State coach Dennis Erickson said: “Our defensive linemen who met with Scott while he was on his interview were very impressed with his style and passion for the game. They were ready to play immediately.”

Erickson also emphasized Brown’s recruiting ties to the entire state of Texas.
