The Denver Post swept the top awards in its class Saturday night at the annual Colorado Press Association awards.
The Post won General Excellence in Class 7, for the largest-circulation newspapers, as well as the Editorial and Photo & Design sweepstakes awards.
In the 27 Editorial categories for newspapers, The Post won 20 first- place awards, as well as 32 second- and third-place awards.
In the website categories, which had one overall class for all newspapers, The Post placed first in website: daily, multimedia.
The Post also placed first for daily editorial cartoon.
The awards were presented at the downtown Denver Sheraton Hotel.
