SALIDA — A south-central Colorado highway is expected to reopen today, six days after a major rockslide blocked both lanes with boulders up to 20 feet across.

No injuries were reported in Monday’s slide on U.S. 50 between Cañon City and Salida. The drive between the towns on U.S. 50 is 59 miles, but the shortest detour was more than 100 miles because of rugged terrain.
