Littleton fire officials trekked a quarter mile onto the ice-covered Chatfield Reservoir this morning to rescue a ice sailor who crashed.
Authorities believe a gust of wind knocked over the unidentified woman around 10:45 a.m.
She was wearing protective gear and was was flown to a nearby hospital and checked for injuries, according to Bureau Chief Jay Ruoff.
“It was as good outcome for everybody,” Ruoff said.
