The Denver Nuggets in a nine-player deal that includes three draft picks and cash. The who’s who involved:
NUGGETS GET
Raymond Felton
The Knicks’ second-best player this season is in a two-year, $15.8 million deal after signing as a free agent in the offseason.
Contract: $7 million this year; signed through next season
Career stats: 13.8 points, 6.8 assists, 35.3 minutes
2010-11 stats: 17.1 points, 9.0 assists, 38.4 minutes
Wilson Chandler
The 23-year-old forward from DePaul has improved his scoring and rebounding averages in each of his four seasons in the NBA.
Contract status: $2.1 million this year, final year of deal.
Career stats: 14.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 32.2 minutes
2010-11 stats: 16.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 34.5 minutes
Danilo Gallinari
A sixth overall pick in 2008, the small forward has excelled in New York’s starting lineup this season, enough that the Knicks were reluctant to move him.
Season stats: 15.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 34.8 minutes
Timofey Mozgov
The 24-year-old center, after six years of pro ball in Russia, signed a three-year, $9.7 million deal with the Knicks last July.
Contract: $3.5 million this season; signed through 2012-13.
2010-11 stats: 4.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, 13.4 minutes
Draft picks and cash
The Knicks, short on attractive trade pieces, also gave up their 2014 first-round pick, the the Warriors’ 2012 second-round pick, the Warriors’ 2013 second-round pick and $3 million in cash.
KNICKS GET
Carmelo Anthony
Perhaps the best scorer in the NBA, he had left a $65 million, three-year contract extension unsigned since before the season. Over eight seasons in Denver, he leaves one of the best players in franchise history.
Season stats: 25.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, 35.2 minutes
Chauncey Billups
The veteran point guard and Denver fan favorite is the complementary piece for Felton. His inclusion is unfortunate collateral damage for the Nuggets, but he is set to be a free agent after the season.
Season stats: 16.5 points, 5.3 assists, 32.3 minutes
Shelden Williams
The journeyman center-forward is in his first season with the Nuggets, playing off the bench with a one-year contract. Because of Nuggets injuries, he’s started 32 games this season.
Season stats: 4.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 17.0 minutes
Renaldo Balkman
Denver fans often wonder why Balkman plays so little. But after being traded from New York in 2008 and signing a contract extension in ’09, the fifth-year forward was inconsistent and not among George Karl’s go-to bench players.
Season stats: 2.6 points, 0.8 rebounds, 8.8 minutes
Anthony Carter
The veteran guard saw his mintues go down after the emergence of second-year player Ty Lawson. He’s played in just 19 games this season.
Season stats: 1.9 points, 1.9 assists, 10.9 minutes
