DELTA — A western Colorado man has been arrested on suspicion of 873 counts of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust.
The Daily Sentinel of Grand Junction reported Tuesday that 47-year-old Jeffery L. Bigham of Delta has been in custody since his arrest Feb. 15.
Delta police spokeswoman Jamie Head did not immediately have details about the case or Bigham, including the man’s occupation, how long he’s lived in Delta or the number of alleged victims.
Bigham is being held on $150,000 bail.
