NIWOT — Footwear maker Crocs Inc. said Friday that it appointed Andrew Davison as its chief marketing officer.

Davison previously served as senior director of digital innovation at Crispin Porter & Bogusky. He also served as chief marketing officer of the company’s joint venture B-cycle, a bike-sharing program.

Last month, Crocs named advertising executive Becky Gebhardt to the newly created role of senior creative director.

Crocs sells shoes in 125 countries. The Niwot company has been attempting a comeback after a surge in demand for its brightly colored, lightweight clogs faded. Last spring, Crocs reinvented itself with a new campaign focused on comfort and new styles such as loafers.
