The Greenwood Village Police Department hopes a good time next month will help take a bite out of crime.

The Whine & Kibbles Gala on March 16 at Mangia Bevi Cafe in Greenwood Village will raise money for two police dogs for the city’s K-9 Unit.

The cost to buy and train the two dogs is about $20,000 each, according to the city.

Tickets are $100 each, with sponsorships also available.

The event is the first fundraiser for K-9 Connection, a group of police and community members.

For more information on K-9 Connection or to donate, visit , or call Lt. Dave Fisher or Officers Jeff Mulqueen and Bryan Stuebinger at 303-773-2525.
